We've taken a snow day...
OK it did snow but probably not enough to warrant having another day off school, but hey Toby's hardly ever seen snow and had never played in it before so as we had a good covering, we spent all of half an hour outside this morning, Grandad built a snowman and Toby left his footprints everywhere, then got cold so we came in again and watched as the snow covered everything up again. It is due to snow again overnight, but I think we'll take a chance on the roads in the morning and go to school, if it's open!
We have been back from Antigua for a week or so, we've gone from dipping our toes in the pool to cool down to sitting by the fire to thaw out in a week! We had a lovely holiday, and the new apartments are coming on, Toby has thoroughly checked the building progress and put his demands in for where the lights and electricity should be, much to the amusement of all the workers, who are part time child minders due to Toby's ability to escape from our house unseen and unheard, he was brought back twice by builders, both times stark naked! Needless to say we have now had extra bolts fitted to all the doors to ensure he is unable to wander off without us knowing about it. Our only problem now is when we go out in the evening, its never a calm relaxing time as we always have to follow Toby, he found a couple of boys to play with and they decided to play hide and seek, of course Toby excelled at this game and disappeared for over half an hour whilst Kevin and I ran around asking all and sundry if they had seen him, the 2 boys had long since given up looking for him and were off playing another game, luckily Kevin found him crouched in some bushes still hiding, much easier to just stay in and have drink or get a babysitter and leave him at home.
Toby and I went for a trip to the farm again last week, it was great as it was so cold there was hardly anyone else around so we were able to use the play equipment without waiting and held all the small animals, including a 6 week old baby goat, and the biggest rabbit I have ever seen, he probably weighed the same as Toby. It's definitely one of Toby's favourite places so we'll no doubt be there again soon. I am adding some photos, spot the strange fake smile that Toby has adopted!
