Thank goodness that's over!!

I had been dreading the flight, imagining temper tantrums galore but on the whole Toby was really good, only ran off once, much to the amusement of the other passengers.
And so we are back with the sunshine, and boy is it HOT! my poor garden is looking a bit thirsty and brown, but Toby can have the top job with the watering can while I trim the leggy ends off everything.
I'm sorry we didn't get to see everyone a bit more, but you always think you have all the time in the world and suddenly you're down to the last few days and have to cram it all in. We'll plan the next trip a bit better.
Thanks to mum and dad for putting up with us for so long, you can get back to normality now and a bit of peace and quiet.

Grub's up

Feeding himself and peeing on the carpet are both new hobbies for Toby! My poor Mum will have to recarpet the house when we leave, as soon as his nappy is being changed he runs off and leaves a little deposit somewhere. He really enjoys feeding himself now, still not very accomplished with a spoon but he can shovel all sorts in with his fingers and he is especially fond of any fruit, but if it squirts a bit like oranges do, that's best.

We spent the day at a wildlife park last week, and Toby had his first ride on a train and a pig! not a real one.

We have just over a week left in England before we depart back to the sun, as far as the weather goes I can't wait, I keep being promised that it will be warmer "next week" so far it seems quite elusive, but we will miss everyone here and Toby will especially miss my mums nice big bath and the back garden, he'll have to make do with the paddling pool and the beach instead.

Yogurt and a chocolate button

At last Toby seems to be settling down a bit, however he has started waking up in the night again, nevermind!
We have been shopping at Ikea, been to lunch with Sue and Michael and swimming so we have been keeping busy. He spent the afternoon with my mum whilst I went to lunch with my old work friends, and learnt a little 'spoon' work and managed to get some yogurt from the pot to his mouth, apparently it was a bit messy but it's a good start and he was very pleased with himself.

But not as messy as this, this is the damage after just one chocolate button!
