Birthday pics

Just a short update with some pictures of Toby's birthday. After school on his birthday Kevin came home early and we took him to the farm which is by far his favourite place locally, although he didn't have much time for the animals he loves the playground and the pig race and for some reason the gift shop, Daddy is a pushover! Then home for fish fingers and scrambled eggs, the perfect end to the day.
On Mothering Sunday we had both nan's and grandads and some cousins for lunch which was lovely, I was glad that Toby had made a card for me at school as Kevin decided it's all too commercial, charming, I'll be remembering that come Father's Day. The penguin cake that had taken up all my time and energy for the previous days was a hit, some photos to follow.

Nearly birthday time

I am trying hard to put at least one entry per month!
We're fast approaching Toby's 4th birthday, he'll be going to pre-school for the morning but if the weather is good he wants to go to the farm in the afternoon, either that or to the pool in Guildford with the massive slides, that'll have to be with Daddy though as I don't fancy the slides much. We are getting ready for Red Nose day this Friday, they are having a sponsored jog and obstacle race at school and they are making cakes for a cake sale, along with all the usual raffles and such like, I don't mind but it ends up costing a fortune, especially as I've been and bought the t-shirt and some noses, still at least its for a great cause and I think it teaches the children that not everybody is as lucky as they are.
Toby has been discovering the joys of the woods at the back of our house, there are rabbit holes and nests an other interesting things to poke sticks in, oh the joy of childhood it's all so exciting, I'm just thankful that the weather is finally getting good enough to spend time outside, rather than being indoors, we have no room left for anymore rockets or robots to be made, and we are suffering the effects of expanding waistlines due to all the cakes and biscuits we've made on rainy or cold days, and I've definitely had my fill of Scooby Doo, I hated it when I was young so its torture to have Toby addicted to it!
So back to Toby's birthday, we're just having a family party at the weekend following, which so happens to fall on Mother's Day so an extra celebration with both GrannyBats here and some cousins to play with.
I have got some photos to add but I still have to get them off the camera, they will follow soon
