The start of a new era?

Today is the second day that we have had a child minder, I have to admit that yesterday was a bit of a disaster but it was probably my own fault, I should have just left them to it, instead I stayed around the house and he constantly had his arms around my legs or was screaming if I wasn't there, today we had the baby group here then as soon as they had left I went out for a while, aside from 5 minutes of crying he forgot all about me. So all I need to do now is to persuade her to swap her days so we can still go to baby group then I can have two Toby free days to myself.... hmmm maybe I can get one of those suntans that everyone expects me to have!
He is also having a bit of trouble with his teeth again, he seems to have struggled with all of them so far, I shall be pleased when they are all out and we can forget about them for a few years till the next lot start.
Right, well I am going to pack up a bag with our swimming gear and take advantage of the sunshine, now then the pool or the beach???

Back in the sunshine

You know you've got a good boy when the people sitting in front and behind both congratulate you on your sons behaviour on the flight, it's a shame I know the guy in front was fibbing, I saw him grimacing whilst inserting heavy duty ear plugs! But he really only made any noise when the Captain put on the seatbelt signs.
So here we are back in the heat, I had been promised a heatwave while visiting England, but it was not to be. Just for info we will be back in England on 3 October for a month.
We shall be taking advantage of the sunshine today by visiting the beach to dip our toes and build some sandcastles, or in Toby's case knock them down, he's not been on the beach for a while so it might even be a novelty for the first five minutes, I think he secretly prefers the pool.

The swimming photos I promised ages ago!!

Sorry I'm so rubbish at updating!

I will make it my mid-year resolution to update this blog more regularly!

We are still in the UK and have extended our stay by a few days plus we have taken advantage of Virgin Atlantic's current offer and have booked more flights to come back in a month, hoorah!

Toby has been having a lovely time, we have been to see lots of friends and family and he is gradually starting to remember people. He is fascinated by other children and has also shown a caring side when littler people than him are around, he made my heart melt when he shared a balloon with a little baby girl, aaahhh bless.

We spent a lovely week in France with Mark and Nadia, we had lovely weather most of the time. Kevin's brother Simon along with Gillian and his 3 children were camping in the same area so we spent a day with them, I hope to cadge some photos from Gillian as she took some really nice ones with her camera.

I am attaching some recent pictures of Toby in my brother Martin's garden, where he discovered the joys of a slide, I'm not sure who enjoyed it more Toby or Kevin!
