Now we are 5...

I have recently acquired a new computer so I have transferred all my photos over as I like to look back every so often, it took quite a long time to do this and in the process I discovered I had over 5000 photos, the majority of which are of Toby, and do you know I did not take one picture of him on his fifth birthday! I have rediscovered my camcorder though so we do have something to remind us of this special day - Not yet sure how to go about sharing this so it is a work in process.
Toby had a lovely day, he was made to feel very special at school and was Mrs P's helper so had all the top jobs such as taking the register to the school secretary - which is something the children all fight over doing, it must make them feel important.
His main present was a bike, being Toby though he's much more interested in how it works than actually getting on it and riding it, no doubt it will be alongside his scooter and gathering dust, another thing that he enjoys watching other people doing but would rather keep his own feet on the ground! One of his favourite presents which has been thumbed very well already is a lift the flap book called 'How things work' which goes into detail how all sorts of things work, such as how water gets in to houses and how planes fly. He's already told me that for his sixth birthday he wants another book like this which tells him how automatic doors work!
At the weekend we went to Bluebell railway again, it was a lovely day and Toby managed to wrangle more parts for his train track.
And it's nearly spring, it'll be great to get out of winter woollies and into shorts and get out and about again.
I will post some photos soon and try and find out about downloading a short clip of home movie.
