Fireworks and friends
We had thought we would go to the local fireworks display, but it turns out that it is the event of the year and the car park is miles away from the fire so a long walk, Toby would soon want to be carried, and thousands of people turn up from miles around, so being a family of miseries we decided to give it a miss and do our own! Toby and I pinched the grandparents old clothes and made a lovely guy, unfortunately I let him sit in the lounge in the week before and he became Toby's friend, his name was Boy and apparently he liked stories and Bob the Builder. Grandad made a bonfire in the garden and the day of the fire dawned so he popped Boy on top, and we all held our breath to see what Toby would make of it all, he still chatted away to him whilst he was perched up there, I thought we'd have to take him down again, but when the fire was lit he very calmly said "bye bye boy" and waved as he went up in a puff of smoke. I hope he doesn't think that's the way to treat your friends!
We are off to Antigua again next week so he only has a few days left of this term at nursery, I have signed him up for the same days after Christmas but to stay and have lunch every day rather than just a Monday, he really seems to enjoy it and is disappointed when he only stays till 12 o'clock. He's looking forward to seeing William again for swimming lessons, I think he has got better over the past couple of weeks, he even got 'Swimmer of the Week' last week, I shall be pleased when he can go in without Mummy in tow.
